Telling us your macOS version and what you were doing when it went wrong saves a round trip.

What you need

  • macOS 15 or later

Apple silicon or Intel. WorkNook is a Mac app; there is no iPhone or iPad version.

  • No account required

Choose “Continue without an account” and everything stays on your Mac.

  • No special permissions

WorkNook asks for nothing — no Accessibility, no Screen Recording, no system prompts.

Common questions

Do I have to sign in?
No. An account exists to sync your sets and history between Macs and to carry a Pro purchase. Without one, WorkNook works fully on this Mac alone — and nothing you did as a guest is lost if you sign in later.
What does WorkNook watch while a session runs?
Only which application is frontmost, by name and bundle identifier, and only during a focus session. It happens on your Mac. Never keystrokes, screen contents, documents, or window titles. During a break it watches nothing at all.
How do I get my data out?
Settings → export your whole session history as JSON or CSV. It is free for everyone, on the free tier too — the records are yours.
What does Pro add?
Unlimited focus sets and reusable custom blocks, your complete history rather than the last seven days, and the Monthly and Insights screens. The limits only ever apply to making new things: if Pro lapses, everything you already made stays.
Why does buying Pro need an account?
Pro is attached to your WorkNook account rather than to an Apple ID, so it follows you to a second Mac. Restoring a purchase you already made does not need an account.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Through the App Store, like any other: Settings → Account → Manage Subscription, or → System Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the renewal; Pro stays until the period you paid for ends.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete Account. It removes the account and everything synced to our servers, not only the copy on this Mac. Anything you exported yourself stays yours.
Can I run a session on two Macs?
Yes, while signed in. A running session appears on your other Mac, and you can take it over there and carry on with the totals intact rather than starting again.
