WorkNook
DownloadFocus sessions for the Mac,
with honest numbers about your deep work.
Dashboard
Your sets, today's goal and the sessions behind it — at a glance.
Daily Goal
A ring that fills with focused time only, and tells you when the goal is met.
Streaks
Day streaks and milestone celebrations, with your personal best beside them.
Menu Bar
Start a set from the dashboard or the menu bar, with a live countdown up there.
Focus Sets
Design a session once, run it every day.
Timeline
Work and break blocks, arranged in the order you drag them.
Allowed Apps
Each set names the apps that count as real work, from app lists you reuse.
Templates
Start from Pomodoro Classic, Deep Work 90, 52/17 Rhythm or Study Session.
Focus Sessions
A live countdown that keeps going — through navigation, sleep, even a crash.
Distraction Guard
Stray into an app that isn't on your list and WorkNook offers the way back.
Breaks Are Yours
No monitoring and no nagging while you're on a break.
Never Lost
Sleep auto-pauses the session, and an interrupted one is offered back.
Statistics
Only focused time counts. Breaks, pauses and idle time never inflate the total.
Focus Score
0–100 for every session, judged Simple, Balanced or Strict — re-scored the moment you switch.
Reports
Hours by day, score trends, goal-met days and your top distractions.
No Fake Averages
Days without data show as gaps, not zeros.
InsightsPRO
When you focus best, which set is strongest, and how often you finish.
Peak Hours
A heatmap built from when your focus actually happens.
Strongest Set
Which set you focus best in, your completion rate and plan adherence.
Honest Days
A session stays on the day, and in the time zone, you worked it.
Your Mac, Your Data
An account is optional. Without one, everything stays on this Mac.
No Special Permissions
No Accessibility, no Screen Recording, no system prompts.
Only the App in Front
During a session WorkNook notes which app is frontmost — never keystrokes, screen contents or window titles.
Export Anytime
Your whole history as JSON or CSV, free on every tier.
Two Macs, One Session
Signed in, your sets and history follow you — and a running session can be picked up on your other Mac.

FAQ
Do I have to sign in?
No. An account exists to sync your sets and history between Macs and to carry a Pro purchase. Without one, WorkNook works fully on this Mac alone — and nothing you did as a guest is lost if you sign in later.
What does WorkNook watch while a session runs?
Only which application is frontmost, by name and bundle identifier, and only during a focus session. It happens on your Mac. Never keystrokes, screen contents, documents, or window titles. During a break it watches nothing at all.
What does Pro add?
Unlimited focus sets, timelines longer than four blocks, an app list for every kind of work, unlimited reusable custom blocks, your complete history rather than the last seven days, and the Monthly and Insights screens.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Through the App Store, like any other: Settings → Account → Manage Subscription, or → System Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Pro stays until the period you paid for ends.
Can I run a session on two Macs?
Yes, while signed in. A running session appears on your other Mac, and you can take it over there and carry on with the totals intact rather than starting again.
What do I need?
A Mac with macOS 15 or later, Apple silicon or Intel. There is no iPhone or iPad version.
